This dynamic mixer is designed to create batches of compost faster than a standard bin. To use it, place grass clippings, leaves, pine needles, and fruit and vegetable scraps in the bin, and add water to keep the mixture moist. Spin the container using the axel that runs through the center of it every few days to aerate the mixture. When finished tumbling, allow the unit to rest on its stand. The extra thick, black plastic walls help retain heat, cooking your compost and speeding the decomposition process. The plastic is also enhanced with UV inhibitors, for protection against the sun for several seasons. Small holes on each end of the vessel allow more air into the mix, for proper aeration. The lid slides open for you to add more water to the mixture, and the logo on the lid enables you to locate it quickly. The unique design of this mixer creates usable compost in four to eight weeks.
